The Iron Queen Classic  is a Women's Only push/pull competition.

That means grandmothers, granddaughters and every stage in between are welcome to take the platform. You can choose to compete in either, both, the bench press and deadlift, or choose to compete in bench press only or deadlift only. There will be NO squats in this competition.

Now, while this is the first year Formidable Foundation has hosted this competition, this isn't the first competition for the members of our Formidable team. We have experience in both hosting and lifting in other powerlifting meets and are more than ready to be bringing this experience to Owatonna!

Grab a friend, a family member or just showcase yourself. Remember, strength isn't about how you look, it's about how you feel. Let's feel strong as hell together!

Be ready to lift: Saturday, May 8, 2027

FAQ's

Do I have to compete in both bench press and deadlift?

No! You have the option to do one or the other, or both! However, if you choose to compete in only one, please note you will not be eligible for the 1st place award given per Age Group as this award is based off of your DOTs score from your combined total. Your score will also not be included in the team score. You WILL still be eligible for heaviest bench or heaviest deadlift of the day, depending on which lift you compete in.

Can I bring my own food/drinks into the venue?

Yes, lifters are allowed to bring their own food and drinks (non-alcoholic) into the venue.

Can we leave the venue and come back?

Yes, lifters and spectators are allowed to leave the venue and re-enter.

What type of equipment will be available at the gym for lifters to warm up?

There will be benches/barbells/plates to warm up for both lifts. Lifters are encouraged to bring their own bands or foam rollers if they use these for warm ups.

Can we leave the venue and come back?
